To address the need for precise color validation in food industry applications, we designed and deployed a custom Real Color Analyzer system. This project focused on detecting the exact color perceived though vision of static liquid samples, ensuring consistent product quality and removing reliance on manual inspection.
️ Purpose-Built Machine with Controlled Lighting
We engineered a dedicated special-purpose machine fitted with carefully positioned, fixed lighting that maintains consistent illumination. This eliminates shadows, glare, and environmental light variations — ensuring stable and repeatable image capture.
Python Based Application Software for Processing
At the heart of the system is a Python-based application, running on an industrial PC connected to an industrial camera. The software:
- Captures high-resolution images of the static liquid
- Extracts RGB and LAB color values
- Compares them against defined standards
- Displays real-time deviation graphs, helping operators quickly identify shifts from expected color ranges
Delta PLC Integration for Peripheral Control
A Delta PLC handles control tasks such as triggering the image capture, managing sensors, lighting, and other hardware operations. The PLC communicates with the Python application to ensure seamless synchronization between physical components and image processing.
